Obituary for Barbara Jean Roblin (Kyle)

Barbara Jean Roblin, nee Kyle, died peacefully at home in her 95th year, surrounded by love on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022. Barb was pre-deceased by her parents William and Nora Kyle, her brother Bill, and sisters Ruth and Mary. Barbara was pre-deceased by her youngest son, Jimmy in 1973 and husband, Gordon in 2015. Loved by sons, David, Billy (Kris) and John (Robin). Cherished and loved Grandma to Kyle, Jamie, Casey , Sarah and Brenna. Great Grandma to Alyssa and Bailey. Barb was born in Belleville and started working at Bell Telephone at the age of 17, and several years later she married Gordon Roblin where she spent the remainder of her life on Rednersville Road (County Rd 3). After marrying Gord, she stayed home to help on the farm and to raise her family. Barb made wonderful long-lasting friendships over the years that stemmed from her few years at Bell. After raising her family, Barb joined her husband in selling real estate. Barb had many hobbies, and loved to knit, paint, read and joined the choir at Rednersville Church and remained in the choir until the Church closed. Barb loved to socialize and especially loved playing bridge and cribbage. A shout out to her Golden Girl Friends that she loved to spend time, with many laughs and lasting memories. A very special thank you to Dr. Peter Johannsson and his staff. Dr. Johannsson was not only her family doctor of many years but was an amazing and caring friend. Also, thank you to Brad and Amber of PEC. In lieu of flowers, Barbara has requested donations to the Lung Association, or Picton Hospice. There will be a private gravesite ceremony and also a celebration of life at the end of August on Rednersville Road. Heaven has another angel.
