Obituary for David Alexander Stewart
On June 18th, 2022, David Alexander Stewart passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 73.
David was a beloved father and devoted family man who loved his family. He was also a very caring and thoughtful person who always encouraged his family when they were down or when they felt sad.
David emigrated to Canada in 1955 from Northern Ireland at the age of 6. He grew up in the small town of Stratford, Ontario. Later on in life he moved to Kingston, Ontario and worked at the Kingston Psychiatric Hospital as a Patient Advocate for more than 10 years.
He married his wife Linda May Stewart on July 30th, 1993. Together they raised a son by the name of Andrew who they raised from the time of 6 months old.
David really loved music. At one point in his life he wanted to be a DJ and a radio announcer.
David enjoyed seeing and talking with his family members. He also used to travel when he was younger. He would tell story of his travels about going back home to Northern Ireland and traveling through other parts of Europe.
David will be missed dearly by friends and family who knew him as a kind and caring family man.
David is survived by his son Andrew, Wife Linda, Brother Stanley, Sister Sheila, her husband Richard, and nieces Rachel and Maya.
