Obituary for Edmund "Ted" Arthur Smith
Edmund (Ted) Arthur Smith 1949-2022
Ted died after a short illness, on 21 December 2022. He is survived by his partner Jennifer Lyons and daughters Rhiannon Lee Michael Dosser (nee Smith) and Rebecca Lynne Smith. He was predeceased by his daughter Julie Diana 12 February 1984 - 07 April 1984. He is also survived by grandchildren Sydney, Erik and Tye Dosser, sons-in-law Justin Dosser and Christopher Adam, sister Sandra Baird and niece Sarah Verge.
His parents Edmund B Smith and Helen Agnes Smith (nee Rose) also predeceased him.
Ted worked in photography in many roles for 52 years in Kingston. He was also active with Kingston Co-operative Homes and served in several capacities including as Chairman for many years. I'd also like to recognize the many kindnesses I've received from Co-Operative members since Ted's death.
A very special thank you to Ted's many friends, including Larry LeBano and Stephen Foster for their support throughout Ted's illness. And a very special thank you to the many health care workers involved in Ted's care at KGH and HDH, especially Dr. Kain and to Burton Thompson from Direct Cremation Services.
There will not be a service. There will be a gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.
