Ernest Gordon George Salt

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of George Salt in his 68th yr peacefully at home on February 28, 2023.
He is survived by his loving wife, soul mate and best friend Deborah (Burns), an amazing father to daughter Christina Lloyd, son Christopher Lloyd. Loving Papa to (His Little Buddy) granddaughter Shila Jorja Lloyd.
Brother & sister In-law Richard & Patricia Stevens, his niece Rebecca Stevens, of Victoria B.C.
Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Verna Salt. In-laws Alan & ILA Burns.
George was born in Calgary Alberta on December 10, 1955 and grew up in Comox B.C. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1976. After he retired from the Canadian Air Force, then served with the Air force reserve in Trenton, Ontario, completing his service in 2013. CPL SALT retired after spending 37 yrs. serving our country.
He also worked part time jobs as well at Zellers, Sears and Commissionaires. He loved spending time outdoors and with his family especially his granddaughter, camping outdoors in the trailer in the summer, going for bike rides and just always being together as Shila was his side kick. He enjoyed family traveling and he loved fixing anything he could get his hands on. He loved to see people smile and would give a helping hand when needed. George had a great sense of humour and always kept us on our toes.
He will always be our Batman with a heart of gold, and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
In Keeping with George’s wishes there will be no service or celebration of life. Cremation has taken place.
George was an avid animal lover. Any donations to the Quinte Humane Society would be appreciated.
