Obituary for Jaedyn Eliza White

Sean, Joanne and Tiernan are heartbroken to share of the passing of their daughter/sister, Jaedyn Eliza White, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jaedyn will also be greatly missed by her friends and a large extended family including her grandparents Annette Tyo (late Patrick Tyo), Anthony White and Elizabeth White, Uncle Jack Séguin (late Tante Lise), Late Uncle Jean Séguin, Uncle Joseph William, Uncle Mike Séguin, Uncle Andrew White (Aunt Jacquie), Uncle Kevan White (Aunt Cathy) and Uncle Jason White. Remembered and loved also by her cousins Alyssa, Amber, Courtney, Miranda, Heather, Ryan, Alex, Emma, Ciara, Bethany, Thomas and second cousins Rose, Evelyn and Isla. Jaedyn was the sunshine in the lives of her family, friends, teachers, coaches and of everyone who loved her. She had a certain aura to her that left a positive and memorable impression on everyone whom she had crossed paths with.

Jaedyn was born on August 27, 2005 in Kingston and most recently attended École Secondaire Catholique Marie-Rivier in grade 11 . Active as an athlete, she was a proud Ice Wolves Hockey player for many years, played baseball and soccer and participated in school sports. She had many friends, all of whom were very supportive and meant so much to her.

Jaedyn faced her illness with an incredible amount of strength, courage and maturity. She was always looking out for others and making a difference. She promised that when she passed that she would look out for her family and give big hugs for everyone to Grandpapa, Uncle Jean, Tante Lise, Tante Georgette, Suzanne as well as “Little Marlow” who all passed before her.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the KHSC pediatric oncology department, Kidd 10 and the IVR department who all treated and cared so much for Jaedyn. The family also feels blessed to have Luna, Jaedyn's Make -A-Wish puppy, in their lives. Luna brought lots of love and comfort to Jaedyn during these past several months to help her through her ordeal.
For those who wish, donations to the KHSC Pediatric Oncology Department will help support on-going care of pediatric cancer patients.

As was said in Madame Jacynthe’s poem for Jaedyn,
“Nous n’oublierons jamais ton courage ou tes beaux yeux bleus pleins d’espoirs.
Comme tu as été une jeune brave. C’est au-dela que j’irai te revoir . »

Due to the current pandemic state, a service will be announced at a later date, with details to be announced.

Remember me (Jaedyn’s Version)

To the ones who are still living, they believe that I am gone,
To the ones who are filled with grief, they believe that I was wronged.
To the ones who are angry, they believe that I was cheated of a good life,
But to the ones who are happy, they believe that I’m at peace, in after life.
And to the ones who are faithful, they believe that I have never left,
They want to remember me and never ever forget.

Although I cannot speak, I can hear,
Although I cannot be seen, I am near,
So as you stand upon a shore, gazing at the sunset and clear sky,
Don’t forget to look upon a sunflower or a beautiful butterfly.
You really need to admire its simplicity and its true beauty,
And while you do this, please don’t forget to remember me.

Remember me in your heart, in your thoughts and in your memories,
Remember all the times that we enjoyed our silliness and crazy stories.
Remember my chocolate intake and my giggly manners, and all the wonderful things that truly matter.
Remember my constant smile and all my kind gestures,
My quiet personality and many of my sporty adventures.
Remember all the times that we laughed, cried, fought and hugged each other,
But most of all, remember that if you always think of me, I will be with you forever!!
