NESBITT, Laverne Kathleen – December 24, 1939 – August 13, 2022. Laverne died peacefully with family and friends at her side at Providence Care Hospital after a short illness. Survived by her husband Marshall and her children Brian (Gayla) and Marcia. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Susan and siblings Barbara Jones, Vernon “Lee” Huckle, Stewart Huckle and Mary Hager. She will be greatly missed by her loving sister Eleanor (Ralph) Sifford in Stanley NC, with whom Laverne enjoyed and looked forward to annual visits. Laverne will also be especially missed by her dear friends Deb Mills, Michelle Kirkland, and the Mahood family for Laverne’s more than half a century of friendship. Laverne was a loyal and caring friend to many in the Kingston area. Once you met her, you never forgot her. She had boundless energy, a positive outlook, often a unique insight to people and situations around her and was always up for an adventure. She was devoted to the families she worked for throughout her life and was a dedicated and hard-working volunteer for over 20 years at the KGH café and gift shop.
