Obituary for Lillias Beach (Gibbins)
BEACH, Lillias Loreen (Nee GIBBINS)
Dec 24, 1936 – April 1, 2022
Peacefully and surrounded with her children, Lillias passed away on April 1, 2022, at the age of 85. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Derrick (Cathy), Cheryl and Cynthia (Seva); grandchildren: Isaac, Hannah, Kiera, Gavin, Nicole, Evan; brothers Ralph and Ron (Colleen), as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years Bob, brother John, and her parents Ken and Lillias .
Lillias was born in Northern Ontario, went to Teacher’s College and had her first teaching job in North Bay. She later moved to New Liskeard, Ontario where she taught elementary public school and attended St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Lillias had many talents, she loved music, taught piano lessons, sang in the church choir and volunteered in many community activities. She was a long standing member of the Fidelis Chapter Order of the Eastern Star organization. After Bob retired and the children moved away, Lillias and Bob moved to Powassan, from there Lillias attended Calvin Presbyterian Church in North Bay. Lillias loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.
Memorial donations may be made in Lillias Beach’s name to the Alzhiemer Society of Canada (alzheimer.ca), Diabetes Canada (diabetes.ca) , or the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca).
