Lois is pre-deceased by her husband, Harold John Schroeder, whom she married in 1949; her sister Beatrice Jessup; and by her parents Ena & Lorne Zadow, all of Eganville.

Lois was born in Pembroke and grew up on a farm near Eganville. She later re-located with Harold and their children to the Sudbury area. In her later years, she lived in Kingston with Janet & Joe and then in the Fairmount Home in Glenburnie.

Lois will remembered first and foremost for being a loving and devoted mother to her five children, a dedicated wife and a caring person to her family, relatives and the community. She was an incredibly selfless and compassionate woman who always put others before herself.

We will also remember Lois for her love of music, playing both the guitar and piano, and her dancing. Additionally, she will be remembered for her devotion to the Church and her volunteer work. She was a long-time member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Kingston and other churches in the various places that she lived throughout her life. So many people have been touched by Lois’s kind, generous and charitable heart and will never forget her impact on them and their lives. To know her, was to love her.

Lois will be deeply missed by many and never forgotten. You are invited to help us remember her and to celebrate her life at the following services:

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 263 Victoria Street, Kingston; followed by a luncheon in the Church.
