Obituary for Peter John Joseph Desrochers

Peter John Joseph Desrochers
June 1, 1943 - November 7,2022

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and neigbour has left us to join the stars in the sky and the wind whispering in the trees

Peter passed away at peace, knowing that we were by his side. We are thankful to the dedicated staff at Hospice Quinte who eased his transition and our grief with their quiet compassion.

Peter had a rich and fulfilling life with many titles. He was BrumBear to the love of his life, Renate. He was Dad to the pride and joy of his life, sons David (Marie), Gary and Andre.

He was the beloved Gramps to his crew of grandkids, Melissa, Cole, Drew, Sydney and Dylan.
He was Pete to mother Edith (deceased) and sister Isabelle (deceased and brother Don.
He was Uncle Pete to Alisa (m. D'Angelo), Pam (deceased), Lisa-Maree (m. Carrigan) and Great Uncle to Tyler, Brenden, Chloe and Che

Peter was known for his exceptional skills and talents in the woodshop and around the home. He could create beautiful furniture out of bare planks and extend the life of an old outboard engine, skills that he used frequently at the cottage.
Peter and Renate loved the outdoors and nature and would often take hikes in the countryside or hit the trails with the ATV. They shared a love of exploring which took them around the world and across the country. Whether they were at home or at the cottage, Peter was happy to share the rewards of his other skill, winemaking, with friends and neighbors. Many joyful barbeques and dinners were enhanced with Peter's red wine.

We are extremely blessed and grateful for the wonderful time spent together. Words will never express our love for you and appreciation for all you've done. We will cherish those memories in our hearts forever. We love you and will miss your smile and your sense of humour.

No matter where we are, you will always be with us.
