Obituary for Peter Spencer Stenning
Peter Spencer Stenning April 30, 1955 – September 1, 2022
Accepting, open and always striving to be his very best, Peter Spencer Stenning was an original in every way. To know Peter was to love him and, at 67, he has left this world far too soon.
Peter had a zest for life and enjoyed roadtrips, exploring the great outdoors, cooking and all four legged creatures. His big, beautiful heart gave out after a very short illness. Peter leaves behind his brother Mark, Mark's daughter Rachel, brother John (Joan) Stenning, their sons, John Jr. (Sharon) and Trevor (Patricia), Uncle Herbert Cooper and his Aunt Karen Selick, as well as an abundance of friends and family in California, Ontario and PEI. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and John Stenning, and his late wife Cil Perna with whom he shared a sunny Californian life along with their much-loved nieces, Anaya and Katie Perna. After moving back to Canada in 2020, Peter and I packed a lot of living into our time together and every single moment will be treasured always, from our Belleville to PEI road trips to our fun family get togethers where he fit in like an original…cuz that’s what he was.
