Obituary for R. Bennett Foster

Robert Bennett Foster
November 4, 1956-June 12, 2022

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Bennett Foster. Bennett was born in Toronto to Bruce and Helen Foster. While still young, Bennett and the family moved to an area North of Baltimore and Cobourg. It was here, Bennett discovered his love of horses and riding. He learned what hard work was, what working the land entailed and developed a love for it and the nature around him. As a teen, Bennett attended Trinity College High School for Boys, in Port Hope. He was an athletic, competitive and proud member of the school. Bennett attended Humber College and then ventured out into both the trades and business world with his skills. Bennett and his previous wife Nancy were blessed with two beautiful children Alex and Abby. His hard work ethic and his love of land and nature was passed onto Bennett from both his Father and his Grandfather His love for the family cabin and planting along the shores of the Skootamatta River was first and foremost and evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. However in the past several years his new partner in life and love brought a new joy and meaning to Bennett’s life, as well as Jamie’s two children Claire and Sam.
The Family close and extended and so many friends mourn his too soon passing from our lives.
Bennett is greatly missed by his Mother Helen Foster, Father Bruce Foster (predeceased) Children Alex and Abby, Partner Jamie and her children Claire and Sam, Siblings Susan Allen (Steve), Elizabeth Gyuk (Sandor), Jill Oakes (Colin), Mark Oakes (Tammy), Steven Oakes (predeceased), Step Mother Diane Foster as well as many Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Friends.
