Obituary for Stephen Roger Boyce

BOYCE, Stephen Roger (1946-2023)
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Boyce on January 17, 2023 in Kingston Ontario at the age of 76.
Steve will be missed forever in the hearts of his beloved wife, Eileen,
his son Craig Boyce, and grandson Riley Boyce, together with his sisters Deborah (David) Johnston and Louanne Tracy (Brian Lean) as well as sister-in-law Lucille Boyce(wife of his late brother) and, best friend Robin. and sister-in-law Madge Nicholas. Steve is survived by his Uncle Stillman (Gertrude) Maynard, together with many cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was the son of the late Clayton Rochelle Boyce and the late Alta Doris Maynard.
Predeceased by paternal grandparents, Joseph Elman Boyce & Julia Edith (Tracy) and maternal grandparents Curtis Maynard & Bernice (Webb)
At the age 18 Steve worked with GNB in maintenance dept in Fredericton, New Brunswick. At age 20 moved to Toronto and worked for Dubois Chemical Co. as 4th class stationary engineer as Maintenance & Equipment Manager.
Returned to Fredericton New Brunswick & worked as Maintenance Supervisor at Wandlyn Motel for 10 years. At age 38 he was employed at McRae Lumber company as an Equipment operator in Whitney Ontario until his retirement at age 63.
Steve’s qualities of devolution, loyalty, focus and organized meticulous nature has been an asset in everything he did.
When Steve would reunite with his siblings he loved to reminisce about growing up in Fredericton Junction.
Steve had a kind heart as many of people commented.
At Steve’s request there will be cremation only.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
